About The Mind Chess Academy
Our Story
Built for young chess enthusiasts
The Mind Chess Academy exists to give children an online place to learn chess properly — combining a rich curriculum, personalised coaching and an engaging, interactive environment that makes every lesson exciting.
Based in Bengaluru and teaching entirely online, we welcome students from across India and around the world, from beginners taking their first steps to advanced players preparing for rated tournaments. Group classes start at age 5 and one-to-one coaching at age 4; we teach children up to 15 years of age.

How we teach, in practice
A published six-level curriculum
From Beginner to FIDE-Rated Preparation, every level lists who it is for, what is taught and the outcome.
Read the curriculum →Every class recorded
Each live session is recorded, so a missed class or a tricky idea can be revisited any time.
How classes work →Monthly parent–teacher meetings
Progress is tracked on our learning platform and discussed with parents every month.
What parents ask →Our Teaching Philosophy
Every child learns best when they feel seen
Small groups, real attention
Batches of 4–6 students mean every child is seen, heard and coached — never lost at the back of a class.
Engaging, interactive lessons
Live classes on a dedicated platform keep children thinking, playing and asking questions rather than watching.
Progress at each child's pace
Students revisit recorded lessons and practise as much as they like, building confidence without pressure.
Honest, personal feedback
Coaches review students' games and share personalised feedback, with monthly meetings to keep parents informed.

How Chess Helps Children Grow
More than a game — a way of thinking
Critical thinking
Chess requires players to think several moves ahead, encouraging strategic planning and foresight.
Memory and concentration
Following a game and remembering patterns strengthens focus and memory.
Patience and discipline
Chess teaches the value of patience and careful consideration before every move.
Sportsmanship and social skills
Playing others builds respect, fair play and the confidence to compete graciously.
Creativity
Children learn to explore unique strategies and tactics rather than one right answer.
Emotional resilience
Navigating wins and losses helps children stay calm and learn from setbacks.
